About 駒サプリ
駒サプリ is a shogi practice app designed to sharpen your tactical skills through curated tsume shogi problems and tesuji exercises. Whether you're preparing for matches or building a stronger foundation, this app delivers structured practice with problems sourced from published handbooks and exclusive original content.
Tsume shogi is at the heart of shogi training—solving checkmate puzzles builds the pattern recognition and tactical vision that separates strong players from casual ones. The app includes problems from the popular "Handbook" series (1 Tsume Shogi, 3 Tsume Shogi, and 3 Tsume Shogi II, published by Asakawa Shobo), as well as thematic collections created by Shogi no Mori like "Kin no Tsume Shogi" and "Gin no Tsume Shogi". For daily training, the Daily Practice feature serves up original Shogi no Mori problems at both beginner and advanced levels, ensuring steady progression.
Tesuji problems complement your tsume shogi work. Drawing from "First Shogi Exercise Book I/II" (supervised by Kazume Takahashi 3rd Dan and published by Gentosha), the app includes official tesuji collections plus original problems like "Ayumu no Tesuji" and "Number Attack". These middle-game and endgame techniques are essential for recognizing winning moves in real play.
Multiple practice modes adapt to how you learn best. Time Attack mode lets you set your own answer duration and question sequence, building speed and accuracy under pressure. Flash mode delivers instant problem presentation with a countdown timer, forcing you to recognize solutions quickly—a skill that translates directly to tournament play. Both modes automatically log your results in a Grade List, giving you transparent feedback on your progress over time.
The Phase Note function transforms the app into a personalized study tool. Record your strengths, weaknesses, and key insights in "My Note", then assemble your own curated problem collection to revisit whenever you need a refresher. This custom approach ensures you focus on the gaps in your game rather than grinding generic problems.
Beyond problems, the app includes a shogi column written by Kazume Takahashi 3rd Dan. These lectures deepen your understanding of strategy and positioning, complementing your hands-on puzzle solving.
駒サプリ requires Android 6.0 or higher and is available through a monthly subscription. Access all features, daily problems, and lectures with a single subscription—no ads, no paywalls blocking individual problems. Start strengthening your shogi game today.
